Camille's Chatter - I'm Stylin' It...

CAMILLE'S POODLE DOODLE CHATTERBOX BLOG
Hi, I'm Camille

I'm not sure what stylin' means -  I think it means I look adorable in this "stuff."    I'm not sure I really agree - but, if my human likes it, I like it!
Am I a sport or what...

My human likes to doll me up a little.  She doesn't ask me to wear too many clothes - but, every now and then she likes me to have a little something she calls style!

For example...

October is breast cancer awareness month - I'm definitely participating...
I'm PINK
Now, this is stylin, right!  I've never worn sunglasses.  My human loves this picture.

How do you like my  new rain jacket.  It's keeps the rain from getting me "soak and wet" on our walks.
My human says I look great.

I recently had a birthday...how about this?
Birthday crown
You must admit I look pretty silly, huh!  My human really made over me on my birthday and when she asked me to wear this crown for my picture, how could I say no!

I wear bandannas when I run.  Now, we're talking my kind of stylin!  I love to run with my human.
My purple bandanna
 My human tries to match her cap to my bandanna. Now, isn't that the cutest?
Our matching purple.

My pink bandanna - Breast Cancer ribbons on it in honor of my human.

Our matching pink.

Speaking of pink --- my Easter bow was pink plaid.

Easter 2014
Pretty in Pink with these pretty pink azaleas in the background.  I also wore a blue outfit for Easter with the big bow - but, I tell you, it was not my favorite.  My human let me take it off - I just wore the big pink bow.  Whew!

Easter 2014
Now, this was fun...

LRM 10K Medal (March 2014)
I proudly wear my human's 10K medal from the Little Rock Marathon.  Pretty neat, huh!

How about this bow...

Ethereal, so my human says!
Do you like it?  My human loves this picture.  She says it's ethereal!  I always agree with everything she says, so, ethereal, I am!

Am I a sport or what!
I think I'm the best dressed pooch in my neighborhood.

Arf, Arf,
Camille

Camille's Chatter - "Get It...it's a ball...Get it"

Camille's Poodle Doodle Chatterbox Blog
Hi, I'm Camille
~~~~~~~~~
DO YOU WANT THE BALL?  LOOK, IT'S A BALL!  DO YOU WANT TO GET THE BALL?  says my human...
Oh my, balls left by tennis players and softball players.  My human and I have this thing going - to see how many stray, lost, or abandoned balls we collect from our walks in the park.
My human picks them up and brings them home for me to play.  But, as of now, I don't play ball.  So far, that hasn't stopped her from "collecting" the balls, though.  Mostly tennis balls - every now and then we find a softball - but mostly tennis balls.
My human lines the balls in a row for me...
 She puts them in a basket for me, too.
She even lets them sleep with me!
How would you like your collections?  Lined up in a row? Tossed in a basket?  Surely you don't want to sleep with them!
 DO YOU WANT THE BALL? LOOK, IT'S A BALL! DO YOU WANT TO GET THE BALL?
I know she loves me --- if only she could read my mind!
Arf, Arf!
Camille
Camille's Chatter: Kids Zone? What's That?
Camille's Poodle Doodle Chatterbox Blog
Hi, I'm Camille
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ANOTHER EVENT...

My morning walk in my neighborhood park greets me with strangers using MY park.  I realize this park is for everyone - but that doesn't mean I have to ALWAYS like it, now, does it?

There is some kind of gathering.  Loud music, food at the pavilion, and kids play zones with these things on the lawn in my best pooping area.

Here's what I'm talking about...
Kids Zone?  It's for kids - I'm not a kid.
This area is not for me.
Yuck - Glitter Table!
No Way - no glitter for this poodle...
What is it? IDK?
NO, I do not want to slide down that thing...
Oh look, there are even doggies here...These animals are looking for their forever home.  I found my forever home and I'm very glad about that, too!
Come on, let's go home!  I've had enough kids yelling "Poodle, Poodle, Poodle."

Camille's Chatter: A Dog Jog for Mother's Day

Camille's Poodle Doodle Chatterbox Blog
Hi, I'm Camille
~~~~~~~~~~~~
My human and I ran an official "dog jog" together.  Since it's Mother's Day weekend, what better way to make her proud than run an event with her, right!  Yes, indeed!
The man in our household grew up in Little Rock and as a very young child lived near MacArthur Park - specifically on Commerce Street.  Their family home was torned down to build I-630.  As a little boy, he played in MacArthur park - back in the day.  He read in the newspaper about the MacArthur Park 5K and Dog Jog / Family Fun Run.  When he showed it to my human - well, need I say more?  Yelp, that would be my first event!
At the risk of sounding a tad arragont, this dog jog was only 3/4 mile and that's a cake walk for this poodle doodle.  I'm up to running almost 2 miles - not yet ready for a 5K (3.1 miles) though.  That's not the point, really.  The point is that I ran the dog jog with my human and we did great!
It was a fun time - street food and music - people and doggies.  And, 100% of the proceeds go to maintain MacArthur Park!
Of course, my human and I wore matching bandannas!  I figured out why she let me wear a bandanna instead of making me wear a big bow.   She didn't want to wear a big hair bow - I get it now!  It's OK, though - indeed, she would look pretty silly wearing a big hair bow.  On the other hand, I kind of look cute wearing them.  Shhhh - don't tell her that I really don't dislike them as much as she thinks.  However, bandannas are more comfortable and my preference.
Assessing the situation...
My human and me posing for 'before run' photo...
Starting line for the official MacArthur Park 5K.  Next year we will run the actual 5K.  Dog Jog line up is in the back...
5K Finish line...
Poodle Doodle jogging doggie - yes, that's me with my dog jog medal...
Chalk writing for us doggies...
Live music, hot dogs and pizza afterwards...Steve Giles Band.
Another pic of me after the dog jog...
This is neat...it is a carving and an actual tree...located on the grounds outside of the Arkansas Art Center and the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History, MacArthur Park.
Happy Mother's Day Weekend to all Mothers,
Camille
Camille's Chatter - It's Easter Saturday - But, I'm no Bunny Rabbit!
Camille's Poodle Doodle Chatterbox Blog
Hi, I'm Camille
~~~~~~~~~~~~
My human and I head out for our usual morning walk in my park!  Whoa.....look at all of these cars.  There are cars parked everywhere - even on my very own street - a few blocks down from the park entrance.

It's Easter weekend and apparently there's an Easter egg hunt for children at the park today.  "Do you want to wear your Easter bow to the park today," says my human!
Oh! Wow! It's my very own Easter bow / collar
Are you kidding me?
Is it big enough?
Do I really need to wear this?
I love you, human; but, I don't love this bow around my neck.  It's a very pretty bow and I know you made it for me with love.  But, give me a break, please!  I really don't want to wear this today!
Actually, I dislike it A LOT!
Notice the look in my eyes!
OK, If it makes you happy!
I'll attempt to like it long enough for a picture.
Did you get the picture?
 I'm ready to take this off, please!
Let's go to the park now.
A lot of people at the pavilion today.
 Oh, yes, it's the Easter egg hunt!  It's Easter weekend and the children are hunting Easter eggs at the park.
I think the children found ME instead of the Easter eggs.
 Let's go home  -  the children have loved on me enough.   Besides, I've pooped and you picked up after me --- and that man said they saw a snake slither across the road.

Afterall, I'm no Easter bunny rabbit. I don't hippity hop! I'm a standard poodle.
Thank you, human, for not making me wear the bow.  By the way, I think these pink azaleas in my front yard are very pretty!
Happy Easter,
Camille

Camille's Chatter - It's A GOOD Good Friday

Camille's Poodle Doodle Chatterbox Blog
Hi, I'm Camille

~~~~~~~~~
"It's Good Friday - let's do something a little different." says my human.   "Let's drive out and walk the western loop of the Two Rivers Park close to Pinnacle Mountain!"  Seems she read about it in the newspaper (Happy Trails) and thinks we need to check it out!!!
My human tells me there's supposedly open fields - might see a deer - with scenic views of Pinnacle Mountain and the Little Maumelle River!
Here we are!!!
The western loop is 2.75 miles - flat paved trail - country like setting.  Great for walkers, bikers, joggers, etc. (so they say!)
I like it - no cars!    It's peaceful and calm.  A beautiful day!
Little Maumelle River in the background of this pic
We stop at this little area where you can sit on a bench and enjoy the Little Maumelle River!  Hmmmm, what's to enjoy?  I can't get in it and swim!
Ok, breaks over - let's go!
We met a couple nice looking doggies - they were kerry blue terriers.  We stopped and chatted.  One gal is 12 years old and she wanted to go home.  The other guy is 9 years old.  They were pretty four legged pals ---- not as pretty as me, though!  Well, that's what my human said, anyway!
Oh wait, what's that?
Can I go play with them?
No, I can't play with the geese!
Oh well, there are a lot of these at the big dam bridge.  I didn't see any deer.  Shhh, I knew there wouldn't be any deer.  LOL!
It's time to go home!  I need a drink of water.  Sure hope my human brought my water, too!  She has her bottle of water in her hand.  Yes, she did!  Yay, Yay, Yay!   See how much she loves me!
The loop was a nice walk for something different, but, I think I like my big dam bridge paved trails better.  My human and I are not keen to dealing with this traffic driving ALLLLLLLL the way out here, just to walk a paved trail.  I have fantastic paved trails close to my forever home!
Sticking close to home,
Camille
