Camille's Chatter - "Get It...it's a ball...Get it"

Camille's Poodle Doodle Chatterbox Blog
Hi, I'm Camille
~~~~~~~~~
DO YOU WANT THE BALL?  LOOK, IT'S A BALL!  DO YOU WANT TO GET THE BALL?  says my human...
Oh my, balls left by tennis players and softball players.  My human and I have this thing going - to see how many stray, lost, or abandoned balls we collect from our walks in the park.
My human picks them up and brings them home for me to play.  But, as of now, I don't play ball.  So far, that hasn't stopped her from "collecting" the balls, though.  Mostly tennis balls - every now and then we find a softball - but mostly tennis balls.
My human lines the balls in a row for me...
 She puts them in a basket for me, too.
She even lets them sleep with me!
How would you like your collections?  Lined up in a row? Tossed in a basket?  Surely you don't want to sleep with them!
 DO YOU WANT THE BALL? LOOK, IT'S A BALL! DO YOU WANT TO GET THE BALL?
I know she loves me --- if only she could read my mind!
Arf, Arf!
Camille's Chatter: Kids Zone? What's That?
Camille's Poodle Doodle Chatterbox Blog
Hi, I'm Camille
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ANOTHER EVENT...

My morning walk in my neighborhood park greets me with strangers using MY park.  I realize this park is for everyone - but that doesn't mean I have to ALWAYS like it, now, does it?

There is some kind of gathering.  Loud music, food at the pavilion, and kids play zones with these things on the lawn in my best pooping area.

Here's what I'm talking about...
Kids Zone?  It's for kids - I'm not a kid.
This area is not for me.
Yuck - Glitter Table!
No Way - no glitter for this poodle...
What is it? IDK?
NO, I do not want to slide down that thing...
Oh look, there are even doggies here...These animals are looking for their forever home.  I found my forever home and I'm very glad about that, too!
Come on, let's go home!  I've had enough kids yelling "Poodle, Poodle, Poodle."

Camille's Chatter: A Dog Jog for Mother's Day

Camille's Poodle Doodle Chatterbox Blog
Hi, I'm Camille
~~~~~~~~~~~~
My human and I ran an official "dog jog" together.  Since it's Mother's Day weekend, what better way to make her proud than run an event with her, right!  Yes, indeed!
The man in our household grew up in Little Rock and as a very young child lived near MacArthur Park - specifically on Commerce Street.  Their family home was torned down to build I-630.  As a little boy, he played in MacArthur park - back in the day.  He read in the newspaper about the MacArthur Park 5K and Dog Jog / Family Fun Run.  When he showed it to my human - well, need I say more?  Yelp, that would be my first event!
At the risk of sounding a tad arragont, this dog jog was only 3/4 mile and that's a cake walk for this poodle doodle.  I'm up to running almost 2 miles - not yet ready for a 5K (3.1 miles) though.  That's not the point, really.  The point is that I ran the dog jog with my human and we did great!
It was a fun time - street food and music - people and doggies.  And, 100% of the proceeds go to maintain MacArthur Park!
Of course, my human and I wore matching bandannas!  I figured out why she let me wear a bandanna instead of making me wear a big bow.   She didn't want to wear a big hair bow - I get it now!  It's OK, though - indeed, she would look pretty silly wearing a big hair bow.  On the other hand, I kind of look cute wearing them.  Shhhh - don't tell her that I really don't dislike them as much as she thinks.  However, bandannas are more comfortable and my preference.
Assessing the situation...
Starting line for the official MacArthur Park 5K.  Next year we will run the actual 5K.  Dog Jog line up is in the back...
5K Finish line...
Poodle Doodle jogging doggie - yes, that's me with my dog jog medal...
Chalk writing for us doggies...
Live music, hot dogs and pizza afterwards...Steve Giles Band.
Another pic of me after the dog jog...
This is neat...it is a carving and an actual tree...located on the grounds outside of the Arkansas Art Center and the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History, MacArthur Park.
Happy Mother's Day Weekend to all Mothers,
Camille
